Size may vary by brand.
Different designers and manufacturers have different size charts. The measurements given by a manufacturer A under size S can be entered in the size chart of manufacturer B under size XS. Therefore, always check the size for the respective item in advance. The size chart provides information about chest width and length.
If your dog’s measurements are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
If your measurements tend toward the top of the chart for a certain size, choose the larger size, especially for heavily hairy dogs where you want to cover the whole coat.
With each measurement, you should be a bit generous.
Always measure slightly loosely so that your dog can move and breathe, but do not measure too loosely. (The measurement for belly bands is an exception, as they must be slightly tighter).
